CARS WANTED
Listed below are a few cars that I’ve been keeping an eye out for. These are not in any particular order of preference. Please not that I’m definitely not looking at any of these cars for resale, so I can’t possibly purchase them all. These are simply cars that either my Dad or I have owned previously. In some cases, I’ve never had one but always thought I would like to try it.
-
1947-1949 Cadillac Sedanette / Custom - I’m looking for a car with a high quality chopped top. A car with photos to document the quality of the work done.
-
1959 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible - I’m looking for a nice presentable “driver” quality car here. I can’t afford a 100 point show car. A nice decent original car would be my first choice. I’m looking for something in the 30 to 40k range.
-
1949 Chrylser Town & Country Convertible - My first memory of any car was my Dad’s black and gold ’49 T&C. I would like to find one in that same color combination.
-
1951-1955 Mercedes 300 “S” Coupe - I’m looking for a decent solid unrestored or older restoration here. Parts for these cars are extremely difficult if not impossible to find, so I’ve got a definite preference for a complete car.
-
1957 Studebaker Supercharged Golden Hawk - My father had a gold colored Hawk when I was about seven years old. I thought it was the coolest car I’d ever seen. I’d like to find a nice one but I certainly don’t need a national award winning show car. I’m looking for a very nice driver in the mid to high teens price range.
-
Porsche 356 Cabriolet, Roadster or SunRoof Coupe. I’m looking for a nice solid original car, not a restoration.
-
1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe – I’m looking for an a/c-equipped car. I sold my last one in 1972 for $3,500 dollars. I think I’ll probably have to pay a little more to get another one.
-
1965-1966 Mustang 2+2 Fastback – Looking for a six cylinder with an automatic transmission. Yes, I’m the one guy out there who actually prefers a six cylinder engine.
-
1966 or 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible. Looking for a nice original car, rather then a restoration. If possible, I'd really like to find one with a white interior and A/C.
-
1965 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport Coupe– I’m looking for a 327 cu. in. car with a/c and power windows. Looking for a car that’s Madeira Maroon with a white interior.
-
1966 or older Mini-Cooper “S” - Looking for a genuine car with documentation as to originality.
-
Iso-Griffo Coupe – Looking for a decent solid car, not a show car.
